If you LOVE Ribs .... this was the event for you! You could be a chef & show off yor best ribs, or just come for the great food & enjoy the tastiest bones ever!Contestants slaved over their secret recipes, creating special sauces that were both spicy & sweet. To ensure a level starting field, ribs were all provided by Pheasant Ridge. After that is where the creativity took over (marinating, rubs, roasted & grilled)! We were happy to welcome back last year's Champion (Chef Kevin), along with other chefs that wanted to try their recipes!
We had four judges (including a "celebrity" judge) who performed a blind taste test. After many ribs were tried (and many paper towels used), it was time to vote. (all the ribs were fantastic - each differant in their own way). But in the end, there could only be one winner. I heard that it was a very hard decision, but in the end Bob Benson was the Top Chef in RibFest!
